Garth Rowan has several decades of experience as a communications consultant, trainer, strategist, reporter and lawyer.
As the senior partner of Beready Inc., he specializes in stakeholder and crisis communications. His clients include some of North America's leading corporations as well as not for profit groups.

Garth began working on win-win negotiation structures as a lawyer in his native Northern Ireland. Looking for a political and geographical change, he moved over to the world of journalism. He spent ten years as a business and international news reporter with assignments for the Swiss Broadcasting Corporation, the BBC and CNN International. Reporting highlights include the end of the Afghan war and the collapse of communism in Eastern Europe.
He brought back his skills as an interviewer and summarizer of issues to the business world along with further qualifications in interest-based negotiation, mediation and stakeholder crisis management.

Besides his work on public issues relating to development, Garth presents regularly on engaging stakeholders, the role of media in society and crisis communication.
